Comments Box
The description and comments window, right above the advertising pane, is
where JP offers tips about using certain sites. You'll see them occasionally
when you select a bookmark in a database. You can also add to or replace
what JP has to say with your own comments in Hot Dogs. The small arrow flipper
at the left expands and collapses the window.
Advertising Pane
That's "pane," P-A-N-E, not "pain." Like the kind you find in windows, not like "Oh great, now they've even got advertising on my desktop, what a pain in the..."
OK, so you don't like the ads. Hey, how do you think we can let you have this puppy for free? If you really hate the ads so much that you want to turn them off, you need to find out about registering your Pointer. Anyone who buys Job Pointer gets to turn the advertising off.
Status Bar
The status bar is right below the ad pane. This is where JP tells you what's
going on when it is doing stuff, how many bookmarks are in a database when you open it, and how many bookmarks
it finds when you use Fetch.
